IQVigilant Workbench

A free, standalone desktop application with an embedded VeloIQ runtime and the full IQVigilant extension. No cloud, no subscription.

There are two ways to start:

Trial, no need to contact us: on first start, opt in to anonymous usage counts and you get a 30-day, 1-user trial license right away.
Free license, no time limit: after you install, request your free 1-user license key from us and we send it by email. You can do this during the trial or instead of it.

How to start

Option 1: Trial, no need to contact us

A 30-day, 1-user trial license when you opt in to anonymous usage counts on first start.

✓ On first start, the Workbench asks whether to send anonymous usage counts. The box is unticked unless you tick it.
✓ The 30 days count from installation, and you can start asking questions right away, before or without requesting a key.
✓ Don't opt in and you need the free key before asking questions. Everything else works the same.
✓ Counted: the installation date, the license activation date, the type and date of the first database you connect, the date of your first answer, the number of answers per week by answering method, and the number of errors by error type. Never sent: your questions, SQL, results, schema, database names, credentials or installation ID. Privacy policy.
✓ Change your choice at any time on the License page. Turning the counts off ends the trial.

Option 2: Free license key, no time limit

The key is tied to your installation, so you request it after you install.

Step 1

Copy your Installation ID

In the Workbench, open the License page (user menu › Configurations › IQVigilant Licensing) and copy the Installation ID. Not installed yet? See the Quick Start.

Step 2

Contact us

On the Contact Us page, choose Free Workbench license key and send your name, company email, Installation ID and, optionally, your role.

Step 3

Get your key by email

We email the key and how to activate it within one business day. Company addresses only: Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo and similar aren't accepted.

Step 4

Activate

Paste the key under Register a License Key on the License page. It works immediately, with no restart.

Quick Start

Ready in seconds

Already have Python? Install straight from PyPI — same app, same free license (requested the same way), same IP protection (IQVigilant's own source ships only as compiled binaries, never as .py). Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
